I'm giving up my CD player and embracing the 'pod.
Yup, thanks to my dear parents, I am now a proud owner of an iPod Nano. It's white (I would've wanted black), and just has a 1GB capacity (I wanted 4GB sana -- but the price of that would almost be the equivalent of the 30GB iPod video, so di talaga sulit), but well, beggars can't be choosers. Why complain when they so generously bought it for me? Hehehe.
Now the hard part is choosing what songs to put inside my Nano. Right now, I have Alicia Keys' Unplugged, Mariah Carey's The Emancipation of Mimi, Jamie Foxx's Unpredictable, and Black Eyed Peas' Monkey Business. Ooh, and I put in songs from the Top 100 Dance Hits torrent hehehe.
I also made a playlist of my favorite bouncin' hip-hop and R&B songs -- I named it bounce. Then for my ehem, favorite (blech) love songs -- they're under the ugh - love playlist. Hehe.
And since it's summer and all, I'm trying to build my summer playlist. This would be those songs that remind you of the sweat and heat of the summer, with the wind on your face on the beach. It can also be about that summer romance that went pffft, or that wondrous bonding time with a bunch of friends during a road trip. Or just lazing around on a balmy sunny afternoon.
Right now, I only have 15 songs for this playlist, and some of them are: Summer Nights from the movie Grease by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, Wouldn't It Be Nice and Kokomo by the Beach Boys (a summer playlist won't be complete without the Beach Boys, I think), Summer of '69 by Bryan Adams and A Lighter Shade of Brown's On a Sunday Afternoon.
Help me out guys. Know any songs that should be included in the ultimate "summer" playlist? :)
