Movie Night: On the Small Screen

Thank you seeders for allowing me to download these movies.

American Pie 5: The Naked MileAfter reading Pajiba's live-blogging review, I just had to see for myself.

And oh-my-freaking-gas, the review was so right on. Read the review, watch the movie, then read the review again. It's an experience.

Okay, first off, I didn't know there was a fourth or fifth installment of this movie. I thought there were only three -- American Pie, American Pie 2 and American Wedding. The fourth (American Pie Presents Band Camp) and fifth (American Pie: The Naked Mile) are both spin-offs.

I don't think I can describe this movie in any other better way than the Pajiba did. I laughed and cried for all the wrong reasons, and shrieked and covered my eyes most of the time.

Take the LeadWhen I first saw the trailer of Take The Lead, I felt the need to watch it. I had a huuuuuuuuuuuuuge crush on Dante Basco when he played Rufio in Hook [ang angas kasi eh... I have a thing for maangas na guys -- and look where it got me :P weheheheh], and seeing him all grown up, and dancing... oh my, I became a giddy 11 year-old girl again :P

Anyhoo, I usually love dance movies because of the dances and this was no exception. Sheesh, I wish I could learn to dance like the kids in the movie. And also dance with someone like Antonio Banderas. Or maybe not, because I might just *melt* ehehehhe.

High FidelityAfter reading the book (more on that later as soon as I clear my thoughts about the book) by Nick Hornby, I just had to watch the movie version. I already knew Jack Black was going to play Barry, and I can so see him in the role.

Perfect casting if I may say because he became Barry. Or Barry became him. Whatever. Perfect.

John Cusack is a darling (daaaaaaaaah-ling). He was a jerk, but I still loved him. If Rob was played by Hugh Grant, I might've hated him ehehehe.

So yeah, I might have seen only three new movies this year, but at least I try to catch up at home, ayt?
